Karachi: newly appointed U.S. Consul General Charles Goodman visited the Governor House in Karachi for a significant meeting with Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori. Governor Tessori emphasized the support provided to foreign investors under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), highlighting the vast potential for U.S. investment in Sindh.
• Governor’s Initiatives: Governor Tessori shared details of various public welfare initiatives, including the 'Bell of Hope' program, which addresses public grievances promptly. Additionally, millions of ration packages have been distributed, and 50,000 youth are receiving free modern IT education at the Governor House.
• Cultural Exchange: Consul General Goodman expressed admiration for Pakistani cuisine. In response, Governor Tessori extended an invitation to cook together and visit Karachi's renowned Food Street on Burns Road, fostering cultural exchange between the two nations.
• Diplomatic Gestures: During the visit, Governor Tessori presented Consul General Goodman with a shield, a traditional Jinnah cap, and a shawl, symbolizing the warm hospitality and respect between the U.S. and Pakistan.
