Users of the newly launched iPhone 17 series are encountering technical difficulties with the Apple Intelligence feature, affecting all models including iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air.

Reported Issues

Several users have reported that, despite the Apple Intelligence feature being pre-installed on their devices, the system prompts them to download it upon activation. In some cases, the download appears to be stuck, preventing access to AI-powered tools such as Writing Tools, Genmoji, and Image Playground. Others have experienced issues with smart suggestions and image generation features being locked or unresponsive.

These problems have been observed across various models, although not all users are affected. Affected users have attempted troubleshooting steps, including connecting to faster Wi-Fi networks and resetting device settings, but some remain unable to resolve the issue.

Apple's Response

Apple has acknowledged the issue and is reportedly working on a fix. The company is expected to address the problem through a software update or a server-side fix in the near future. Users are advised to keep their devices updated to the latest software version to ensure they receive the necessary patches once available.

Other Reported Issues

In addition to the Apple Intelligence feature problems, users have reported other issues with the iPhone 17 series. Some users have experienced dropped calls, potentially due to poor cellular switching, although some report this issue was resolved with the iOS 26 developer beta. A rare camera bug has also been noted, causing random black boxes and white squiggles in photos, possibly triggered by LED light interference. Apple has promised a software fix for these camera-related issues soon.

Users are encouraged to report any ongoing issues to Apple Support and await forthcoming updates that aim to resolve these technical problems.
