The federal government has officially announced new prices for petroleum products, which will remain in effect for the next 15 days. The decision was taken following recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), keeping in view global market trends and fluctuations in crude oil prices.
According to the notification, the updated prices aim to reflect changes in the international energy market while ensuring availability of fuel at revised rates across the country.
Petroleum dealers have been directed to implement the new prices immediately at all filling stations nationwide. Authorities added that regular price adjustments are necessary to balance domestic needs with international oil price movements.
Officials highlighted that the revision in petroleum prices directly affects transport, energy, and daily household costs, making it one of the most closely monitored economic indicators in Pakistan.
