India secured a hard-fought 21-run victory over Oman in their Group A clash of the Asia Cup 2025, ensuring momentum ahead of the Super Four stage.

Batting first, India posted 188/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Sanju Samson top-scored with a well-crafted 56 off 45 balls, while Abhishek Sharma provided a fiery start at the top of the order. Contributions from the middle order helped India reach a competitive total despite some disciplined bowling from Oman.

In reply, Oman put up a spirited chase led by opener Aamir Kaleem and batsman Hammad Mirza, who kept the scoreboard ticking. At one stage, Oman looked in contention with 141/1 in the 17th over, but India’s bowlers held their nerve in the final overs. Key breakthroughs from the spinners turned the game in India’s favour, restricting Oman to 167/6 at the end of 20 overs.

With this win, India finished their group campaign on a strong note, while Oman’s brave fight earned them praise from fans and experts alike.
