President Donald Trump is currently on his second state visit to the United Kingdom, and tonight he was honored with a resplendent dinner hosted by King Charles III at Windsor Castle. The state banquet forms part of a ceremonial welcome full of pomp and tradition, reaffirming the “special relationship” between the two nations.
The arrival was marked by grand pageantry—troops forming a guard of honor, a carriage procession, musical bands, and a tour through royal collections. Trump laid a wreath at Queen Elizabeth II’s tomb and exchanged gifts with members of the royal family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla.
In his remarks at the banquet, Trump described being invited to Windsor as “one of the highest honors of my life,” expressing admiration for Britain’s heritage and its monarchy. King Charles, in response, spoke about the lasting bonds between the UK and US, touching upon shared history, culture, and future cooperation on global concerns.
