U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a telephonic conversation with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, during which the two leaders reviewed the state of bilateral relations and expressed commitment to further strengthening cooperation.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, Secretary Rubio voiced satisfaction over the positive trajectory in Pak-U.S. relations, highlighting progress in areas of trade, regional security, and people-to-people exchanges.
Foreign Minister Dar welcomed the remarks and underscored Pakistan’s resolve to expand collaboration with Washington, particularly in the fields of economic development, counterterrorism, climate resilience, and technology partnerships.
Both sides reaffirmed their intention to maintain close engagement through regular diplomatic channels and upcoming high-level visits. The exchange comes at a time when Islamabad and Washington are seeking to consolidate ties after a period of strained relations in recent years.
The Foreign Office noted that the conversation reflects the shared desire for a stable, constructive, and mutually beneficial partnership between Pakistan and the United States.
