Hamas has announced that it will conditionally accept U.S. President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan, which calls for a comprehensive ceasefire and the release of Israeli hostages in exchange for a halt to military operations.
According to international media, Hamas leaders said they are willing to transfer administrative control of Gaza to an independent Palestinian technocratic authority, but stressed that further negotiations are required on sensitive issues such as disarmament, border security, and Israel’s withdrawal.
In response, President Trump hailed the move as a “big day,” urging Israel to halt bombings to allow for the safe release of hostages. Regional mediators are expected to continue discussions in the coming days to finalize the framework of the deal.
