In the latest ICC rankings update, Pakistan’s young talent Saim Ayub has climbed to the number one spot among T20I all-rounders, displacing India’s Hardik Pandya.
The young left-hander impressed with consistent all-round performances in recent T20 matches, particularly during the Asia Cup, where his batting stability and handy bowling spells proved crucial for Pakistan. His all-round contributions helped him leapfrog several established players to the top of the chart.
According to the updated ICC rankings, Pandya dropped to second place, while Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz climbed four spots to reach 13th. All-rounder Faheem Ashraf also showed improvement, further strengthening Pakistan’s presence in the global rankings.
Cricket experts hailed Ayub’s rise as a sign of Pakistan’s strong bench of young talent, noting that his versatility makes him one of the most valuable assets for the team in the T20 format.
Ayub’s achievement marks the first time a Pakistani has topped the ICC T20I all-rounder rankings in recent years, highlighting his growing stature in international cricket.
