The Pakistan Navy Ship Yarmook, operating under the Saudi-led Combined Task Force 150, conducted a 48-hour counter-narcotics operation in the North Arabian Sea starting October 16, boarding two unmarked dhows and seizing over two tons of crystal methamphetamine and 50 kilograms of cocaine valued at $972 million. The mission, part of the multinational Combined Maritime Forces' efforts to curb illicit trafficking, received praise from U.S. Central Command for disrupting networks threatening regional stability. Pakistan's leadership, including President Asif Ali Zardari, commended the navy for enhancing maritime security and international partnerships.
