ICC Names Quinton de Kock as Men’s Player of the Month for October

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced Quinton de Kock of South Africa as the Men’s Player of the Month for October. Pakistan’s Nauman Ali and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan were also nominated for the prestigious award.


De Kock played a pivotal role in South Africa’s ICC World Test Championship series against Pakistan in Rawalpindi. Across the two-Test series, he scored 106 runs and took 11 wickets, helping his team draw the series and earning the Player of the Series accolade.


Pakistan’s Nauman Ali impressed with the ball, taking a total of 14 wickets in the two-Test series, including a remarkable 10-wicket haul in the Lahore Test, which helped Pakistan secure a 93-run victory.


Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan showcased his T20 prowess against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, delivering consistent performances across five T20 matches, earning him a nomination for the Player of the Month award.


The ICC’s Player of the Month awards recognize outstanding individual performances across formats, celebrating players who significantly impact their teams’ success.
