Fresh footage from Wana Cadet College has surfaced, showing the swift and professional rescue operation carried out by Pakistan’s security forces following a militant attack on the institution.

According to security sources, approximately 650 individuals, including 525 cadets, were present inside the college at the time of the assault. Security forces acted with precision and caution, ensuring the safe evacuation of all students, teachers, and staff.

Videos circulating on social media show security personnel carrying cadets to safety while maintaining defensive positions, as medical teams arrived promptly to provide on-site treatment.

Officials stated that the operation was launched after credible intelligence indicated the presence of Afghan-based militants inside the campus. The mission was executed with extreme care to avoid civilian casualties.

In the initial exchange of fire, two attackers were reportedly neutralized by army personnel, though sources confirmed that clearance operations are still ongoing until all remaining militants are eliminated.

Security forces have cordoned off the surrounding area, conducting detailed searches of nearby buildings.

Before the assault, attackers rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the main gate, causing damage to nearby structures but failing to breach the inner security perimeter.

Sources further revealed that the militants were in direct contact with handlers in Afghanistan, receiving instructions during the attack. The army responded by targeting the compound used as their hideout, located some distance from the cadets’ dormitory.

Security officials emphasized that the operation remains systematic and controlled, with the safety of cadets and staff as the top priority. Reports indicate that both students and faculty have remained calm and resilient, and the professional conduct of security personnel has been widely praised.

A detailed official briefing is expected to be issued soon by military authorities.
