Traffic Cameras Catch Police Vehicles Breaking the Law — 8 Challaned in 24 Hours

In an unusual turn of events, traffic police vehicles themselves have come under the radar of the electronic challan system. According to traffic police officials, automated cameras detected multiple violations by police mobiles, resulting in eight e-challans issued within the last 24 hours.

Authorities revealed that since the introduction of the e-challan system, a total of 68 police vehicles have been fined for violating traffic laws. As of yesterday, the figure stood at 60, but with enhanced camera coverage and system efficiency, the detection rate of such violations has significantly increased.

Traffic officials emphasized that the e-challan system applies equally to all — whether private citizens or government vehicles. They reaffirmed that no exemptions will be granted, and strict action will continue against anyone found violating traffic regulations.
