Arshad Nadeem Wins Gold in Javelin Throw at 35th National Games

Pakistan’s star athlete Arshad Nadeem delivered an outstanding performance at the 35th National Games, clinching the gold medal in the javelin throw event with an impressive throw of 81.81 meters.


Yasir Sultan secured second place with a throw of 70.7 meters, while Abrar Ali finished third with a throw of 67.68 meters.


Competitions on the fifth day of the National Games continued with great intensity, as defending champions Pakistan Army maintained their dominance in the overall medals tally. Teams from various provinces and departments are battling to secure top positions.


In athletics, the final events are underway, with Arshad Nadeem representing WAPDA as he successfully defended his title in the javelin throw.


After four days of competitions, the Pakistan Army remains firmly on top, adding to their medal count with strong performances across multiple sports on Sunday.


In the sailing events, Pakistan Air Force showcased remarkable skill, winning four gold medals and one silver in different categories. Two categories were won by the Pakistan Navy, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa secured gold in the women’s sailing event.


Sindh claimed their first gold medal at the event after an exciting final in the women’s netball tournament, defeating the strong WAPDA team by 20–13.
