Eight Terrorists Killed in Major Security Operation in Kohat–Karak Border Hills

A large-scale security operation against terrorists was carried out in the border mountainous region of Kohat and Karak districts, within the jurisdiction of Khurram Police Station in the Karkandai area. The operation resulted in intense clashes between security forces and terrorists.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Kohat, Abbas Majeed Marwat, confirmed that a fierce exchange of fire took place during the operation, leading to the killing of at least eight terrorists so far. He added that reports have also been received regarding several other terrorists sustaining injuries.

According to the RPO, multiple terrorist hideouts were completely destroyed during the operation. A heavy contingent of police, along with personnel from intelligence agencies, is participating in the action, while the District Police Officer (DPO) Karak is personally present at the site to supervise and monitor the operation.

Abbas Majeed Marwat stated that the entire area has been cordoned off to prevent any terrorists from escaping. He emphasized that law enforcement agencies are fully determined to restore peace and eliminate terrorism from the region.

The RPO further assured that the operation will continue until the complete clearance of terrorists. He urged the public to cooperate with security forces, avoid spreading or believing rumors, and remain vigilant as the situation is being closely monitored.
