Pakistan’s security forces have carried out successful intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Panjgur and Kalat districts, eliminating several terrorists linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.

According to ISPR, the latest operation was conducted on January 25 in Panjgur district after credible intelligence reports indicated the presence of terrorists in the area. Security forces surrounded the hideout and engaged the militants during an intense exchange of fire.

During the operation, three Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed, including local area commander Farooq alias Soro, along with Adeel and Waseem. The military said the militants were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities targeting security forces and civilians in the region.

ISPR added that a large cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives was recovered from the site, underscoring the operational capability and intent of the terrorists. Sanitisation operations are ongoing to ensure no remaining militants are present in the area.

Earlier this month, on January 12, security forces conducted another intelligence-based operation in Kalat district, also targeting Fitna al Hindustan operatives. In that operation, four terrorists were neutralised following a heavy firefight.

The military reaffirmed that Pakistan’s counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue with full resolve to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
