Pakistan’s security forces have carried out successful counterterrorism operations in multiple areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing 13 terrorists during intelligence-based actions, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In an official statement, ISPR said that security forces conducted an operation in Bannu district based on credible intelligence, resulting in the killing of eight terrorists after an intense exchange of fire. In a separate operation in Kurram district, five more terrorists were neutralized while targeting their hideouts.

The military’s media wing stated that the operations were executed effectively, with terrorist positions accurately engaged. Clearance and search operations are ongoing in both Bannu and Kurram to ensure the complete elimination of remaining terrorist elements in the area.

ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain fully committed to eradicating terrorism from the country. The operations are being conducted under the national counterterrorism initiative “Vision Azm-e-Istihkam,” which aims to dismantle terrorist networks, protect civilian lives, and strengthen national stability.

Officials emphasized that such actions are part of sustained efforts to restore peace and improve the law and order situation in the region. The successful operations send a strong message that security forces will continue to take decisive action against terrorists to ensure lasting peace and security.
