Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 14 runs in the third and final T20 match of the three-match series, leveling the series 1–1 after a rain-affected encounter on Sunday.

The decisive match, played in Dambulla, was delayed due to rain and reduced to 12 overs per side. Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first against the hosts.

Batting first, Sri Lanka posted an imposing 160 runs for the loss of six wickets in the shortened game. Captain Dasun Shanaka led the charge with a brisk 34 runs, while Kusal Mendis contributed 30. Janith Liyanage and Dhananjaya de Silva added valuable support with 22 runs each.

For Pakistan, Wasim Junior was the most successful bowler, claiming three wickets, while Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, and Naseem Shah picked up one wicket apiece.

Chasing a target of 161 runs, Pakistan struggled to maintain the required run rate and managed 146 runs for eight wickets in their allotted 12 overs, falling short by 14 runs.

With this victory, Sri Lanka squared the series 1–1. Pakistan had won the opening match, while the second T20 was abandoned due to rain, making the final game crucial for both sides.
