Drizzle Likely in Karachi Today, Says Meteorological Department

KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast light drizzle in Karachi on Wednesday, with partly cloudy weather expected throughout the day.

According to the Met Office, sea breeze has restored in the city, bringing slight relief from the recent spell of humidity. The drizzle is likely in coastal areas including Clifton, DHA, Saddar, Korangi, Malir, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal, while the rest of the city may experience cloudy intervals.

The maximum temperature in Karachi is predicted to remain between 31°C to 33°C, with humidity levels hovering around 70 to 80 percent. Weather experts warned that the high humidity may continue to cause discomfort for citizens despite the drizzle.

Meanwhile, PMD also predicted chances of scattered showers in interior Sindh, including Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, and Tharparkar, during the next 24 hours. Citizens have been advised to stay cautious, especially motorcyclists, as light rain may make roads slippery in some parts of the city.

The Met Department added that monsoon currents are still penetrating Sindh, which may trigger occasional rain spells in Karachi and adjoining areas in the coming days.
