KARACHI: U.S. Consul General Scott Urbom actively participated in a beach cleanup activity at Karachi’s Clifton beach, reaffirming the U.S. mission’s commitment to environmental protection and community engagement.


The initiative, organized in collaboration with local volunteers and civil society groups, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of keeping coastal areas clean and preserving marine ecosystems.



Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Urbom praised the efforts of Karachi’s youth and volunteers, highlighting the significance of collective action in tackling pollution and climate challenges. He emphasized that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility that connects communities across borders.



Participants removed plastic waste and debris from the shoreline, sending out a strong message on sustainable practices and community-driven action for a cleaner Karachi.
