In a major development for Balochistan’s public transport system, 21 modern eco-friendly green buses have arrived from China and will soon be put into operation in Quetta and Turbat.

According to provincial transport officials, the buses are part of a broader initiative to modernize urban transport, reduce traffic congestion, and provide safe, affordable travel options for citizens. The fleet has been specially designed to meet environmental standards, operating on clean technology to minimize emissions.

The Balochistan government has announced that the new service will initially cover major routes in Quetta and Turbat, with expansion plans for other cities in the province. Officials believe the initiative will significantly improve urban mobility while addressing long-standing public complaints over inadequate transport facilities.

“This is an important step towards modern public transport in Balochistan,” said a transport department spokesperson. “We are committed to providing reliable, safe, and eco-friendly buses for the people.”

Citizens in both cities have welcomed the news, hoping the initiative will reduce dependence on overcrowded vans and provide a smoother daily commute.
