 A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck near the southeastern region of Afghanistan, with strong tremors felt across Pakistan—including Islamabad, Peshawar, Murree, Mardan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir—prompting widespread panic. People rushed out of their homes and workplaces in fear

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre (PMD) reported the tremor’s epicenter was in the Hindu Kush region, at a shallow depth of approximately 15 km—conditions that can cause strong surface shaking.
