Health worker attacked during HPV vaccination drive in Mandi Bahauddin

A disturbing incident occurred during the ongoing HPV vaccination campaign in Mandi Bahauddin when a health worker was attacked while administering vaccines to schoolgirls.

According to health department officials, the worker was confronted by a group of individuals who objected to the campaign, spreading misinformation about the purpose of the vaccine. The attack left the worker injured and disrupted the drive in the area.

Punjab’s Health Minister strongly condemned the assault, calling it “an unacceptable act against those working to safeguard public health.” The minister reaffirmed that the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine is internationally recognized and vital for the prevention of cervical cancer.
