India secured a comfortable 41-run victory over Bangladesh in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2025, strengthening their chances of reaching the tournament final.

Batting first, India posted a solid total of 289 runs, powered by Rohit Sharma’s 87 and a quick-fire half-century from Virat Kohli. Bangladesh’s bowlers struggled to contain India’s top order, though they managed to pick up wickets in the death overs.

Chasing 290, Bangladesh faltered early, losing wickets at regular intervals. Despite a fighting knock of 65 runs from Liton Das, the middle order failed to build partnerships against India’s disciplined bowling attack. Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav shared crucial wickets, sealing the game in India’s favor.

With this victory, India remains a strong contender for the Asia Cup final, while Bangladesh now faces an uphill task to stay alive in the competition.

Cricket analysts praised India’s balanced performance, highlighting both the batting depth and the precision of their bowling unit.
