The much-anticipated lunar eclipse has officially begun and is now visible across Pakistan, including major cities such as Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) and space experts, the celestial event will last for several hours, with all phases clearly observable in Pakistan, provided the skies remain clear.
Astronomers say the eclipse will reach its peak later tonight before gradually fading. Citizens are advised to view the event in open spaces away from city lights for the best visibility.
Religious scholars have reminded Muslims of the importance of offering Salat-ul-Khusuf (prayer during lunar eclipse), and several mosques in the country have made arrangements for collective prayers.
Social media platforms are already buzzing with pictures and live streams, as sky watchers capture this rare astronomical spectacle.
