Security forces successfully conducted a major counter-terrorism operation in Dera Ismail Khan, killing seven terrorists linked to the banned outfit Fitnaul Hindustan. Among the dead were two suicide bombers who were allegedly planning large-scale attacks in the region.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched on intelligence reports about terrorist movements in the area. The exchange of fire lasted for several hours, during which the militants attempted to use heavy weapons against security forces. However, troops responded decisively, eliminating all seven operatives.

The slain terrorists were reportedly involved in multiple attacks on security personnel, law enforcement agencies, and civilian targets. Security forces also recovered a cache of arms, explosives, and suicide vests from the site.

Authorities confirmed that local communities fully supported the operation and that further intelligence-based actions would continue to ensure lasting peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other affected regions.
