Islamabad: Pakistan today marked Defence Day 2025 with national zeal and solemnity to honor the martyrs and veterans who defended the country in the 1965 war.
The day began with a 21-gun salute by Pakistan Rangers in different cities, symbolizing respect and tribute to the sacrifices of the armed forces. Special prayers were also offered at mosques for the progress, integrity, and security of Pakistan.
The Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force held impressive parades and special ceremonies at their respective bases, showcasing military strength, discipline, and unity. The events highlighted the unwavering resolve of the nation and the armed forces to safeguard the country against all threats.
Leaders from across the political spectrum and senior military officials paid glowing tributes to the martyrs, reaffirming that the spirit of September 6, 1965 remains alive in the nation’s heart.
Defence Day is observed every year to commemorate the courage of Pakistan’s armed forces and to remind the new generations of the sacrifices made for the country’s sovereignty..
