Pakistan has proposed the creation of an Arab-Islamic task force to closely monitor Israeli actions in the region, amid growing outrage over recent airstrikes that have heightened tensions across the Middle East.

According to diplomatic sources, the proposal was presented during high-level consultations with Arab and OIC member states following Israel’s strike in Doha, which drew widespread condemnation. Pakistan emphasized that the task force would serve as a coordinated mechanism to document violations, ensure accountability, and recommend collective responses.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar underscored that Israel’s recent strikes represent not only a threat to regional stability but also a violation of international law and sovereignty. He added that the task force should work in tandem with existing OIC structures while providing real-time monitoring and reporting to member states.

The initiative has received preliminary support from several Muslim-majority countries, which view the proposal as a step toward strengthening collective defense and diplomatic pressure. The final structure and mandate of the task force are expected to be discussed at the upcoming extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit in Doha.

Pakistan’s call reflects its consistent stance on the Palestinian issue and its demand for stronger Muslim world unity in the face of Israeli aggression. Analysts believe the task force, if formed, could give Arab and Islamic countries a more organized platform to push back diplomatically and legally against Israel.
