Islamabad: On the special instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan has dispatched emergency relief supplies to support the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Afghanistan two days ago.
According to official sources, the relief consignment includes tents, blankets, medicines, food items, and other essential supplies aimed at assisting families affected by the disaster. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), in coordination with relevant ministries, arranged the aid to ensure swift delivery.
The Prime Minister expressed solidarity with the Afghan people in this hour of grief, stating that Pakistan stands firmly with its Afghan brothers and sisters. He directed the concerned departments to provide every possible assistance and ensure that relief reaches the victims without delay.
Officials noted that the gesture reflects Pakistan’s commitment to humanitarian values and its longstanding bond with Afghanistan. The government also assured readiness to extend further support if required.
The powerful earthquake, which struck parts of Afghanistan two days ago, caused significant loss of lives and damage to property, leaving thousands in need of urgent assistance.
