Pakistan’s rising squash star Noor Zaman clinched the Nash Cup 2025 title in Canada after defeating Egypt’s Moustafa Elsirty in a thrilling final, marking another major milestone in his flourishing career.

Noor, grandson of squash legend Qamar Zaman, produced a commanding performance, winning the match 3–0 in straight games with scores of 19-17, 11-7, 11-9. The contest lasted 52 minutes, with Noor displaying exceptional stamina, composure, and tactical play to outclass his higher-ranked opponent.

The opening game was the most intense, as both players exchanged points in a nail-biting rally before Noor edged out Elsirty 19-17. Building on the momentum, he dominated the second game 11-7 and sealed the victory with an 11-9 win in the third.

This triumph adds to Noor Zaman’s outstanding season, which has already seen him lift the U23 World Championship and the Liverpool Cricket Club Open earlier this year. His consistent performances are now drawing comparisons to Pakistan’s golden era of squash.

Officials of the Pakistan Squash Federation congratulated Noor, calling his achievement a sign of the sport’s revival in the country. Fans and former champions have also hailed the young player’s determination, describing him as the new face of Pakistani squash.

The victory not only cements Noor’s reputation on the international stage but also rekindles hopes of Pakistan regaining its historic dominance in the sport.
