Security forces conducted a targeted operation in Khuzdar district, Balochistan, eliminating several militants belonging to the outlawed group Fitna-ul-Hindustan, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
According to security sources, the operation was launched on credible intelligence reports about the presence of armed militants in the area. The terrorists were involved in multiple acts of sabotage, attacks on civilians, and targeting of law enforcement personnel.
During the intense exchange of fire, a number of terrorists were killed while their weapons and ammunition were also recovered. The identity of the slain militants is being verified, and search operations are continuing in the surrounding areas to ensure clearance.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that Pakistan’s security forces remain fully committed to eradicating terrorism from the country and will continue to take decisive action against hostile elements threatening national peace and stability.
Local residents expressed relief at the successful operation, saying it would help restore peace in the troubled region. Analysts note that the operation highlights ongoing counterterrorism efforts in Balochistan, where security challenges have persisted in recent years.
