Afghan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has broken a long-standing record previously held by Pakistan’s former captain Misbah-ul-Haq.
During the third and final ODI against Bangladesh on Tuesday, Nabi played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 62 runs, guiding his team with experience and composure.
With this half-century, Mohammad Nabi became the oldest player from a Full Member nation to score a fifty in One Day International (ODI) cricket. He achieved this milestone at the age of 40 years and 286 days.
The previous record was held by Misbah-ul-Haq, who had scored a fifty at the age of 40 years and 283 days in 2015.
Nabi’s performance once again proved his enduring value to Afghanistan cricket, as he continues to inspire young cricketers with his fitness, consistency, and leadership.
