Ali Amin Gandapur resigned from the post

Ali Amin Gandapur has officially resigned from his post as Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), stating he did so in compliance with the directives of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

Gandapur submitted his resignation to KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, describing the CM position as a “trust (amaanat)” given by Imran Khan, which he was now returning. He said he had served with sincerity and thanked his cabinet colleagues, party members, and the provincial bureaucracy for their support amid challenges of governance, security, and finances.

At present, Muhammad Sohail Afridi is poised to be elected as the next Chief Minister. Meanwhile, the KP administration continues to operate under caretaker arrangements until the transition is formalized.
