Dengue cases are on the rise across Punjab, with Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan emerging as the most affected cities this season. Health officials have issued fresh warnings as post-monsoon conditions and stagnant water continue to create ideal breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

15 dengue patients were reported in Lahore in the past 24 hours, taking the number of confirmed dengue patients in Lahore to 290.

Health experts attribute the spike to poor sanitation and water accumulation in residential areas following recent rains. Lahore’s major hospitals, including Mayo Hospital and Services Hospital, have reported overcrowded dengue wards, with many patients awaiting diagnostic tests and treatment.

Officials have appealed to the public to cooperate with health teams and maintain cleanliness in their neighborhoods to curb the spread of the virus.
