Pakistan’s security forces have successfully thwarted a major infiltration attempt by India-sponsored Khawarij terrorists along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, killing 25 militants, including four suicide bombers, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Saturday.

According to ISPR, the terrorist infiltration attempts occurred on October 24 and 25, when two heavily armed militant groups tried to cross into Pakistan. Alert troops acted swiftly, engaging the infiltrators in intense firefights and eliminating 15 terrorists in Spinwam, North Waziristan, and 10 more in Ghaakhi, Kurram district.

ISPR stated that the operations were launched after suspicious movements were detected near the border areas. The terrorists were attempting to enter Pakistan to launch coordinated attacks, but timely intelligence and precise military action neutralized the threat.

In the fierce clashes, five soldiers embraced martyrdom while defending the nation. The martyred heroes include Havildar Manzoor Hussain, Sepoy Nauman Ilyas Kayani, Sepoy Muhammad Adeel, Sepoy Shah Jahan, and Sepoy Ali Asghar.

ISPR further revealed that the eliminated terrorists were linked to India-backed Khawarij networks, responsible for several previous cross-border attacks. A large cache of weapons, explosives, and ammunition was also recovered from their possession.

Security officials reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating terrorism from its soil and ensuring the sanctity of national borders, emphasizing that such hostile attempts would continue to be met with decisive force.
