Pakistani martial artist Irfan Mehsud has once again brought pride to the nation by breaking a Guinness World Record previously held by Norway’s Sverre Dyson. Mehsud performed 42 finger-tip push-ups with 80 pounds of weight in one minute, surpassing Dyson’s record of 38 push-ups under the same conditions.
Irfan Mehsud now holds the most world records in the push-up category globally, with an impressive 70 titles to his name. His achievements span multiple weight divisions, including 100-pound, 80-pound, 60-pound, and 40-pound categories, showcasing his extraordinary strength and endurance.
Beyond push-ups, Mehsud has set records in martial push-ups, squats, step-ups, knee strikes, elbow strikes, high jumps, and star jumps, making him one of Pakistan’s most versatile fitness icons.
In recognition of his achievements, Mehsud received the Presidential Award for Performance Excellence in 2023. Over the past nine years, he has earned 150 Guinness World Records, becoming the first Pakistani to achieve such a milestone. Additionally, 20 of his students have also set Guinness World Records, further strengthening Pakistan’s reputation in the field of martial arts and fitness
