Former Bollywood actress Zaira Wasim, who bid farewell to the film industry six years ago, has surprised fans by announcing her marriage.
The Dangal star shared her wedding photos on Instagram without revealing her or her husband’s face. In the pictures, Zaira is seen wearing a red bridal outfit with golden embroidery, while her husband dons an off-white traditional outfit with a matching shawl, both gazing towards the moon in one of the shots. Another photo shows Zaira signing her Nikah papers with henna-adorned hands.
Her post, captioned simply “Qubool Hai” (I accept), offered no details about her husband’s identity. The images have since gone viral on social media, with fans and fellow celebrities extending their heartfelt wishes for her new journey.
Zaira Wasim, who gained nationwide fame with Aamir Khan’s blockbuster “Dangal”, had announced her departure from Bollywood in 2019, citing religious reasons. In a detailed social media post at the time, she said that while the film industry had given her recognition and success, it had also distanced her from her faith, prompting her to choose a path that aligned with her beliefs.
