The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the resumption of its flights to the United Kingdom after a five-year suspension. According to the airline’s spokesperson, regular operations to the UK will officially begin today, with the first flight departing from Islamabad to Manchester. Preparations at Islamabad International Airport have been completed to ensure a smooth launch.
Sources said a large portrait representing Manchester city has been displayed at the airport to mark the occasion. A special ceremony celebrating the revival of UK flights will be held at Islamabad Airport, where Defence Minister Khawaja Asif will attend as the chief guest.
PIA officials stated that the resumption of UK operations will not only provide greater convenience to passengers but will also play a crucial role in restoring the airline’s international reputation and expanding its global connectivity.
