After a hiatus of five years, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed its direct flight operations from Islamabad to Manchester, marking a major step in restoring the airline’s connectivity with the United Kingdom.
According to the PIA spokesperson, a Boeing 777 aircraft took off from Islamabad International Airport bound for Manchester, embarking on a five-hour non-stop journey. The flight is scheduled to land in Manchester at 5 p.m. local time, where special arrangements have been made to celebrate its arrival.
The spokesperson further stated that a welcoming ceremony will be held at Manchester Airport to commemorate the return of this long-awaited route, reflecting PIA’s ongoing efforts to rebuild its international network and strengthen ties with the Pakistani community in the UK.
