Pakistan’s security forces successfully thwarted a major terrorist attack in North Waziristan on October 24, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Intelligence reports had indicated that India-backed militant group Fitna al-Khawarij was planning a vehicle-borne suicide attack in the Jhullar area of the district.
Acting on precise intelligence, the security forces conducted a timely and highly coordinated operation, targeting the militants’ hideout. During the operation, the vehicle prepared for the suicide attack was destroyed, and three militants were killed, preventing a potentially catastrophic incident.
The ISPR praised the operation as a demonstration of the forces’ skill and readiness in countering terrorism and emphasized that such proactive measures are part of ongoing efforts to secure the region and protect civilians from extremist threats.
