Chief of the Pakistan Navy Admiral Naveed Ashraf said the service and the nation know how to defend their sovereignty and maritime borders from Sarkrik to Jiwani, during a visit to forward positions in the Creeks area. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that Admiral Ashraf inspected frontline posts, reviewed operational preparedness and assessed the navy’s combat readiness.

As part of the visit, the Pakistan Navy formally inducted three units of 2400‑TD hovercraft into the Pakistan Marines, a move ISPR described as a significant enhancement to the service’s operational capabilities. These hovercraft are capable of operating across diverse land and water environments, enabling rapid amphibious and littoral operations.

ISPR said the new assets will give the Marines a distinct advantage in executing missions across shorelines and shallow waters, strengthening the navy’s ability to deliver decisive and effective responses against any maritime threats. The chief’s tour underlined the navy’s focus on modernisation and readiness to protect Pakistan’s coastal and maritime interests.
