Security forces carried out a major intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Quetta today, killing at least 10 terrorists, officials confirmed.
According to security sources, the operation was launched after credible intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants in the city’s outskirts. During the action, a fierce exchange of fire took place, resulting in the elimination of 10 terrorists linked to banned outfits.
A large cache of weapons, explosives, and communication devices was also recovered from the hideout. Officials stated that the terrorists were planning attacks in Balochistan, which were foiled due to the timely operation.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to track down remaining accomplices. Authorities reaffirmed their resolve to continue decisive actions against militant networks until complete peace is restored in the province.
