Pakistan secured a dominant DLS victory over Zimbabwe in the fourth match of the KFC T20 Tri-Series on Sunday, powered by Babar Azam’s record-equalling performance and Sahibzada Farhan’s explosive start.
Pakistan posted 195/5 after opting to bat first at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Skipper Babar Azam smashed his 38th T20I half-century, drawing level with India’s Virat Kohli for the most fifties in men’s T20 internationals. Azam held the innings together with a composed knock, building a 132-run partnership with in-form opener Sahibzada Farhan, who top-scored with a fluent 63.
Babar accelerated in the final overs before Mohammad Wasim Jr. added important late runs to push Pakistan to an imposing total.
In response, Zimbabwe faltered early and never recovered, crumbling to 108/9 before rain intervened. The DLS method confirmed a comfortable win for Pakistan, who remain firmly at the top of the tri-series table ahead of their next fixture against Sri Lanka.
