Russia’s Ministry of Defence has announced that its air-defence systems intercepted and destroyed 75 Ukrainian drones targeting various Russian regions overnight. According to the ministry, the drones were brought down across several territories, including the Black Sea, Crimea, Bryansk, Voronezh, Krasnodar, Smolensk, Belgorod, Kaluga, and Ryazan.
In a detailed statement, the ministry said the highest number—36 drones—was destroyed over the Black Sea.
Additionally, 10 drones were intercepted over Crimea, 9 in Bryansk, 7 in Voronezh, 4 in Krasnodar, and 3 in Smolensk.
Air-defence forces also neutralized two drones each in the Moscow and Belgorod regions, while one drone was shot down in both Kaluga and Ryazan.
The Defence Ministry emphasized that Russian air-defence units acted swiftly to counter the attacks, preventing the drones from reaching their intended targets.
Officials said the overall security situation in all affected regions remains “under control” following the interceptions.
