In a significant diplomatic development at the United Nations, Pakistan, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates have jointly issued a historic declaration calling for the immediate adoption of a Gaza peace resolution.
According to the joint statement, the proposed resolution was drafted after extensive consultations with UN Security Council members and regional partners. The declaration describes the resolution as a “historic roadmap” designed to ensure a sustainable and comprehensive end to the Gaza conflict.
The statement emphasizes that the proposed resolution strengthens the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and bolsters the path toward the establishment of a Palestinian state. It further notes that the roadmap aims to secure long-term peace, stability, and a viable political solution between Israelis and Palestinians.
The countries urged the international community to adopt the resolution without delay, stressing that its timely implementation would not only be a critical milestone for Palestinians but also lay the foundation for lasting peace and security across the entire region.
The declaration calls on global powers to act urgently to prevent further loss of life and to help end the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
