Hamas has called for urgent intervention by mediators as Israeli forces intensify attacks across Gaza. A senior Hamas official told Arab media that the group has communicated its anger over the ongoing military operations and urged third parties to act immediately.
The official claimed that Israel intends to nullify the existing ceasefire agreement. “To preserve the truce, mediators must intervene without delay,” he said, highlighting systematic violations that have already resulted in hundreds of Palestinian casualties.
Hamas also accused Israeli forces of altering the agreed withdrawal boundaries under the ceasefire, escalating tensions further. The official emphasized that continued breaches are undermining the fragile peace arrangement.
Recent Israeli attacks involved airstrikes, drone operations, and tank bombardments targeting Gaza City, Rafah, and Khan Younis. These strikes killed at least 22 Palestinians, including children, and caused widespread destruction.
Since the ceasefire was signed on October 10, more than 330 Palestinians have reportedly been killed due to repeated Israeli violations. Humanitarian groups have raised alarm over the growing civilian toll and destruction of infrastructure.
The Hamas official stressed that unless immediate action is taken, the situation risks further deterioration. International observers continue to monitor the crisis, with calls for renewed diplomatic efforts to halt the violence.
