The Karachi Traffic Police has issued an official clarification regarding fake messages circulating on social media about e-challan payments. According to the police spokesperson, fraudulent messages are being spread through social media platforms, WhatsApp, and other online channels, misleading citizens about payment methods.
The spokesperson emphasized that PSID (Payment Slip ID) is the only authentic and approved method for submitting traffic challans. Citizens have been advised to immediately reject all unverified or unofficial payment procedures.
Authorities also urged the public not to click on unknown or suspicious links and to report misleading messages. The spokesperson further clarified that official communication from Sindh Police is always issued under the verified name “Sindh Police.”
Any message received from a private name, personal number, or unofficial source claiming to represent Sindh Police should be considered fake, the spokesperson added. The department has advised citizens to remain cautious and verify all information through official channels.
