The cricketing world is gearing up for one of the biggest sporting rivalries as Pakistan and India are scheduled to face each other on 15 February 2026 during the ICC T20 World Cup. According to Indian media reports, both teams have been placed together in Group A, setting the stage for a high-intensity contest in Colombo.
The group also features USA, Namibia, and the Netherlands, making it a diverse pool with strong competition. India is set to kick off its World Cup campaign on 8 February against the USA at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the world’s largest cricket venue.
Following their opening match, India will take on Namibia on 12 February in Delhi. The team will then travel to Colombo for the much-anticipated showdown against Pakistan on 15 February, which is expected to be the most-watched match of the year. India’s final group-stage fixture will be against the Netherlands on 18 February in Mumbai.
The tournament's Super 8 stage is scheduled to take place across three major cities — Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Kolkata. As per the proposed plan, if India qualifies for the semifinals, its match will be hosted in Mumbai. Meanwhile, Colombo is slated to host the first semifinal on 4 March.
