The Government of Pakistan has announced revised prices for petroleum products for the upcoming 15 days, signaling an increase in fuel costs across the country.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been raised by Rs. 2.43 per liter, bringing it to Rs. 265.45 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of diesel has increased by Rs. 3.02 per liter, reaching Rs. 278.44 per liter.
The official notification confirmed that the new rates came into effect from midnight, impacting both retail and commercial fuel consumers nationwide. The government stated that the adjustments reflect global oil price trends and currency fluctuations, which influence domestic fuel costs.
Consumers and transport operators are expected to feel the impact of these changes, as fuel costs play a significant role in transportation, logistics, and overall inflation. Authorities have advised citizens to plan accordingly during this period.
