U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that several countries — including China, Russia, North Korea, and Pakistan — are secretly conducting nuclear weapons tests.
In an interview with an American broadcaster, Trump said, “Russia and China are carrying out nuclear tests, and so are North Korea and Pakistan, but they don’t tell anyone about it.”
The former president explained that many of these tests take place deep underground, making them difficult to detect. “You don’t always know where they’re testing; sometimes the ground shakes slightly, and that’s all you feel,” he said.
Trump added that the United States must also resume nuclear testing to maintain parity with other powers. He recently directed the Department of Defense to begin immediate nuclear weapons testing, stating that America should be on “equal footing” with nations already advancing such programs.
The statement has sparked debate among global analysts, raising concerns about a potential new arms race amid already strained international relations.
