Afghan religious scholars have issued a significant five-point fatwa declaring that the defense of the Taliban-led Islamic Emirate against any foreign aggression—including airspace violations—constitutes a sacred obligation for every Afghan citizen.

The decree, released on Wednesday, prohibits the use of Afghan soil for carrying out attacks or hostile activities against other countries. The scholars reinforced the Supreme Leader’s earlier directive forbidding any unauthorized travel of Afghan fighters outside the country for military purposes, emphasizing that only the Islamic Emirate holds the authority to make such decisions.

The scholars also urged unity among Muslim nations and called for peaceful coexistence in the region, stressing that conflict between neighboring states serves no religious or strategic purpose.

The fatwa follows intense border clashes near Spin Boldak over the weekend, where at least five people were killed. Pakistan accused Afghanistan of harboring militant groups responsible for cross-border attacks, while Kabul firmly rejected the allegations and denied any territorial violations.

The new religious decree is being viewed as an attempt to ease tensions while affirming the Islamic Emirate’s stance on sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-aggression.
